Today I am participating in Dia & Co.’s “Try-Day Friday” and getting out of my comfort zone! Fashion is all about taking risks and experimenting with your look. Although I love fashion, this concept sometimes presents a challenge for me. I often have a look in mind, recreate it, try it on and feel insecure that it doesn’t look right, so I change . I bought these American Eagle boyfriend jeans almost seven years ago after seeing the Kardashian sisters rock them. Once I got them home, I lost all confidence and never wore them. Today I am back again, cutting off the tags and giving these jeans another try. Thankfully they still fit!
I have always had a love/hate relationship with jeans, whether it be the feel or the style. Being petite I struggle to find a pair that fits properly. A trip to the tailors for hemming is often needed. I am also particular about how clothes feel on my skin and lets face it, jeans are not the most comfortable when first purchased. There are so many styles and colors to choose from which can be quite overwhelming, because of this I opt for jeggings. Luckily this style of jean is normally rolled up so I didn’t have to make any adjustments. Being 5’2″, pairing this type of jeans with flats would weigh me down, so I selected a cute pair of BCBGeneration heels. I kept the look casual by adding a basic crop top from Urban Outfitters. Since the jeans have a more masculine look to them, I added bracelets and a necklace to glam it up. Xoxo
